The AXIS Q1686-DLE Radar-Video Fusion Camera is an advanced solution designed for high-performance traffic surveillance and security applications. By integrating radar and visual sensor data in one device, it provides a powerful tool for speed monitoring, license plate recognition, and directional alerts. The fusion of radar and video data on the edge makes this camera ideal for applications like wrong-way driving detection, traffic flow analysis, and other traffic safety measures. Equipped with a 1/1.8” image sensor, the AXIS Q1686-DLE delivers high-definition 4 MP video quality, ensuring clear and detailed imaging in both day and night conditions. Its rugged, outdoor-ready design is built to withstand harsh environments, featuring a NEMA 4X-rated, IP66, and IP67 weatherproof enclosure, as well as impact resistance. This durability ensures reliable performance in challenging weather conditions and demanding installations.

The camera includes a Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU), enhancing its ability to identify and track objects in real-time, particularly vehicles. With image optimization tailored for specific traffic use cases, including license plate capture and traffic capture profiles, the camera ensures superior performance in capturing detailed vehicle images, especially in low-light or nighttime environments. The Lightfinder 2.0 technology further improves image quality in poor lighting, while the OptimizedIR system with a powerful 850nm IR illuminator ensures excellent nighttime visibility without compromising power efficiency. The camera is fitted with a varifocal 9-50mm F1.5 i-CS lens that allows for remote zoom and focus adjustments, providing flexibility in adapting the field of view to suit specific surveillance needs. The integrated radar unit, operating in the 60.0 GHz-61.5 GHz range with a 95-degree horizontal field of detection, offers advanced radar-video fusion capabilities. In terms of security and monitoring, the camera features radar motion detection, AXIS Speed Monitor for tracking vehicle speed, shock detection to alert users to potential tampering or impacts, and an active tampering alarm. The included removable sunshield, wall bracket, Torx T20 screwdriver, and cable glands facilitate easy installation, though a midspan or power supply is not included.
